This Privacy Shield Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose information, including Personal Data, in connection with our services. For these purposes, "Personal Data" is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Subscribing Members and Data Providers provide us information, which may include Personal Data, in response to requests from EHS GRADES for invoicing and payment, training and auditing, performance evaluation and contractor management. The types of Personal Data we might collect may include your name, occupation, employer, contact information, training and work-related history, and other information relevant to your work qualifications that other clients, subscribing members and data providers may request for.
We strive to provide our services in the best possible manner, which means it is very important that the information in the EHS GRADES system remains accurate, complete, and up-to-date. As we rely on our Subscribing Members and Data Providers for information, we take steps to ensure that these parties understand the importance of keeping the information they maintain and share through EHS GRADES as accurate and current as possible. However, unless we are notified that any of your Personal Data is inaccurate or incomplete, we cannot take steps to correct it. You have the right to request access to, and correction of any of your Personal Data that we hold. Please contact us at any time to request access to or correction or removal of your Personal Data. Given the nature of our services, we may need to retain Personal Data after the end of any particular engagement involving Subscribing Members or Data Providers (e.g., to provide a historical audit trail for environmental health and safety and for qualification purposes).
We are committed to protecting the security of information stored in EHS GRADES system. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure, as well as from misuse, interference or loss. We store all information (including any of your Personal Data in our possession) in electronic form. All such information is maintained in the United States, where it is stored on secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. We constantly monitor and regularly update our security procedures to ensure that we collect and store information as securely as reasonably possible. In the event we transfer your Personal Data, we will take appropriate measures to protect your privacy and the Personal Data we transfer. Should we need to transfer your Personal Data for purposes other than for providing Services and in accordance with this Policy, we will, to the extent permitted by law, obtain assurances from the recipients that they will safeguard your Personal Data in a manner that is consistent with this Policy. In compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield principles, EHS GRADES commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your Personal Data within 45 days of receiving a complaint. European Union individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding this Privacy Shield Policy should contact us by mail, telephone or email at email@example.com. EHS GRADES has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the Privacy Shield Principles to BBB EU Privacy Shield, an alternative dispute resolution provider located in the U.S. and operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if your complaint is not satisfactorily addressed. In addition, the United States Federal Trade Commission is the statutory body that has jurisdiction to hear any claims against EHS GRADES regarding compliance with the Privacy Shield. There is a possibility, under certain conditions, for individuals to invoke last resort binding arbitration before the Privacy Shield Panel to be created by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission.
