Richard Rosera has almost 50 years of chemical manufacturing and EHS management experience. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, an MS in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Penn State. After several years in research with Rohm and Haas Company as a process engineer, he has had chemical manufacturing management positions with Rohm and Haas Company, Beecham Laboratories (now GlaxoSmithKline), J. T. Baker Chemical Company (now Avantor) and Pilot Chemical Company. Subsequently, he has had positions managing environmental, health and safety at manufacturing sites for Pilot Chemical Company, Fabricolor Incorporated, Lubrizol Dock Resins and Reckitt Benckiser.
Richard is an accomplished manager with a record of success in improving operations to meet or exceed regulatory requirements, better serve customers, and eliminate waste. Program development and implementation includes: ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmental Management; OSHA Process Safety Management and Hazard Communication; EPA Risk Management Plans; EPA and New Jersey Solid, Universal, Medical and Hazardous Waste programs; OSHA Voluntary Protection Program; EPA Pesticide Manufacturing Establishment requirements; and various New Jersey environmental programs. His chemical manufacturing and EHS management experience includes a broad spectrum of extremely hazardous chemicals and processes, such as: aerosol product manufacturing; anionic surfactant production (sulfonation and sulfation); emulsion, solution and suspension polymerization; ammonium thiocyanate production; dye and pigment synthesis; and high purity inorganic acid distillation.
